Miss Alabama 2008
The Miss Alabama Pageant is the competition that selects the representative for Alabama to compete for the title of Miss America. Held in June of each year in Birmingham, the competition awarded over $104,000 in cash college scholarships to its participants in 2008. Additionally, significant in-kind college scholarships are made available to contestants each year.
Amanda Tapley of Birmingham is Miss Alabama 2008. Amanda is a music and pre-med major at Samford University. A pianist and vocalist, Amanda is an accomplished musician and aspiring pediactric oncologist.
