Belinda Faustinos

Belinda Faustinos has been the Executive Officer of the San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC) since 2002. She served as the Executive Officer of the Watershed Conservation Authority and the San Gabriel River Discovery Center Authority, and has sat on the boards of countless other local, regional, and national conservation committees. Her commitment to watershed conservation has been integral to protecting the San Gabriel Valley watershed. During her tenure, RMC has adopted more than 400 projects and has awarded more than $83 million in grants for the planning and development of open space, recreational activities, and habitat restoration. RMC has also been fundamental in completing major watershed improvements throughout the region, protecting major sites adjacent to the San Gabriel River at El Encanto at the headwaters in Azusa and the Duck Farm near Whittier Narrows.  Belinda retired in April 2011 after 30 years of service to the state, most of which has been devoted to environmental conservation.
